Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says he’s keeping a close watch on Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

Costa has revived his form under Blues boss Guus Hiddink.

“I think there are times when lots of people dislike him, he generates rancour. I don’t really want to think about why,” said Del Bosque.

“The reality is that he is a guy who gives you everything: he is meticulous, he works hard, he’s committed… a fighter. One of the toughest decisions we have to make is with the strikers. Morata has barely played, Alcácer the same… We thought they were the future. We’re not going back on that, but they’ve come up against competition in the form of Aduriz and Diego.”
