Jose Mourinho appears to be edging ever closer to the Manchester United job as removal vans were spotted outside his London home.

Louis van Gaal has been sacked as manager at Old Trafford with Mourinho set to take over in the coming days.

After months of speculation, it was reported on Saturday after United’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final the former Chelsea manager would be heading to Manchester.

Outside his £16million home in Belgravia, central London, this afternoon, wearing a blue blazer with a grey and blue t-shirt, and jeans, the 53-year-old said nothing about his new job.

Chased by pack of photographers and reporters outside his home as he walked to his car he said: “Go home, go home.”

He then got into a dark Range Rover before being driven away by his minder.
