If you didn’t know Pedro wanted to leave Barcelona before the UEFA Super Cup final, you will have done after.
The Spanish winger came off the bench to score a winner in extra time, but even that didn’t persuade him to join in the celebrations after the final whistle.
As the Spanish and European champions lifted the trophy in Tiblisi, Pedro cut a lonely figure next to his teammates.
The 28-year-old looked sullen at what should have been a joyous moment, signalling that his time with the Catalan giants is certainly coming to a close.
Pedro’s agent revealed before the match that his client has asked to leave, but the club remain hopeful of keeping him.
“We want him to stay. The season is very long and with the quality of Pedro there’s no doubt he’d be useful,” said Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
“We’ve already let Pedro know that we want him to stay. If he stays he will continue to help us.”
