Manchester United signing Eric Bailly faces failing his UK work permit application.

The Times says the deal is still subject to a work permit and Bailly, 22, hasn’t played enough games for the Ivory Coast to qualify.

But the report continues to claim that United are confident the player will win his appeal.

The £30m-rated international signed a four-year deal with the option of a two-year extension and represents Jose Mourinho’s first signing since taking over from Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
