Liverpool plan to sell EIGHT senior players this summer.

The Daily Star says the Reds will attempt to clear out the dead wood from Anfield after a disappointing campaign following last season’s title challenge.

Mario Balotelli heads up the exodus of players, Glen Johnson will be released while fellow out-of-contract defender Kolo Toure is set to depart in search of regular games.

Liverpool also want to off-load fellow Italian striker Fabio Borini at the end of the season.

Goalkeeper Brad Jones and left-back Jose Enrique both have a year left on their current deals but will be made available for transfer.

Veteran forward Rickie Lambert and Brazilian midfielder Lucas also have question marks over their futures.
