PFA Player of the Year and Premier League champion Riyad Mahrez has made up his mind to join Arsenal.
That is according to French Eurosport, who say Arsenal met with Mahrez’s agent while they were in Lens for yesterday’s friendly.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has publicly claimed Mahrez will stay at the King Power Stadium, but it now seems that may not be the case.
The clubs are reportedly set to agree a fee in the region of £42million.
The Algerian’s team-mate Jamie Vardy turned down the chance to join the Gunners, but Mahrez is reportedly desperate to make the move and is not prepared to change his mind.
The news will come as a huge blow to Leicester, who have already lost star performer N’Golo Kante to Chelsea in a £30million deal.
