Jamie Vardy has equaled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive Premier League games.
The Leicester striker scored away to Newcastle on Saturday to ensure he has scored in every single league game since the end of the summer.
Vardy’s run began on August 29, when he popped up with a late equaliser against Bournemouth, and he has gone on to net in each top-flight game since.
He scored a brace in two of those games, against Arsenal and Southampton, meaning he now has 13 goals for the season, five clear of teammate Riyad Mahrez and Watford’s Odion Ighalo.
Former Manchester United striker Van Nistelrooy set the record in 2003.
Starting in march, the Dutchman scored a hat-trick against Fulham and went on to find the net against Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal, Blackburn, Tottenham, Charlton, Everton, Bolton and Newcastle.
