Jose Mourinho may have been sacked by Chelsea but he’s still exerting some influence over the club.

The Portuguese manager reportedly met with interim boss Guus Hiddink to discuss the Blues’ players.

According to The Sun, the duo met for breakfast at the Berkeley Hotel in London shortly before Hidink first visited Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.

Mourinho is said to have given his successor the finer details regarding the squad he has inherited.

Premier League champions Chelsea have endured a disastrous start to the season, which culminated in Mourinho being fired after losing nine of his opening 16 league matches.

Since his departure, however, things appear to have improved. The Blues beat Sunderland 3-1 this weekend, their first win in the league since mid November.
