In the act of watching his side lose 2-1 to Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League group stage opener on Wednesday night, Arsene Wenger passed a decidedly undesirable managerial milestone.

Arsenal endured a grim old evening, eventually going down to Zagreb after being reduced to 10 men in the first-half thanks to Olivier Giroud’s slightly soft dismissal.

Just to pile on the misery, however, Wenger also became the first ever manager to bring up a half-century of Champions League defeats in the process.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal boss lost his 50th and 100th premier league against Mourinho in the premier league who he coincidentally play against this weekend.
