Eden Hazard could finally get his wish of playing up front for Chelsea.
That is after Antonio Conte revealed the Belgian could be a “good solution” for the Blues in a secondary striker role.
Hazard was keen to play there last season but Diego Costa, Loic Remy, and even Alexandre Pato were preferred up front to the 25-year-old.
But new manager Conte is of the opinion that Hazard can play there… if he improves his shape.
“I like him in this position,” said the former Italy coach, “like a forward. It can be a good solution for us.
“He can play as a winger – but also he can play as the second forward.
“He must improve his shape but he is working hard and his shape can improve a lot, the same as the other players.”
Conte gave Hazard a brief cameo through the middle of the pitch against Real Madrid, and it seems fans may see a lot more of him there as the season progresses.
