Chelsea are believing to be considering a move for Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone if Jose Mourinho eventually leaves the club.
Mourinho is under-pressure to turn the defending champions season around after an abysmal start to the season that has seen them win just two of heir first eight premier league games this season.
Rumours in Portugal claim Mourinho is aware his time at the London cluub could be up if he fails to return the champions to their former glory.
Mourinho was publicly backed by club owner Roman Abramovich last week but it is believed the Russian could call time on Mourinho’s second coming to the club.
Abrahimovic is in awe of the work Simeone has done at Atletico Madrid. The Argentine led the club he used to play for to the 2012 Europa League, 2012 Copa Del Rey and 2013 La Liga title and the Champions league final.
He has defeated Chelsea in his managerial career; the 2013 UEFA Super Cup, and an aggregate win in the 2012/2013 Champions League semi-final.
The Argentine signed a new five-year contract worth a basic £22.5million in March. The deal included a £15million buy-out clause that either party can trigger at the end of each season.
Simeone won 106 caps for Argentina during a playing career. He played for the like of Velez Sarsfield, Lazio and Atletico Madrid.
