Drogba left Stamford Bridge at the end of last season after one final title triumph but his former club have struggled to replicate the form this season.
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba believes that one of his former club’s biggest rivals will take their Premier League crown this season.
Drogba, who is currently playing for Montreal Impact in the MLS, says that Arsenalare best placed to win the title this season – simply because of Petr Cech.
The Gunners have slumped to disappointing defeats to the likes of West Ham and West Brom in the league, Sheffield Wednesday in the cup and Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
But despite that, Arsenal do sit just two points off Leicester at the Premier League summit.
Drogba thinks that Arsene Wenger is now poised to lead them to their first league title since the Invincibles of 2004.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think Manchester City will be strong, as always in the past few years. Unfortunately, Chelsea are too far so I will go for my friend Petr Cech and Arsenal.”
When asked if they had enough to win the league, Drogba merely replied: “They have got Petr Cech.”
