Real Betis may be frustrated in their plans to extend the loan of Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda.

Musonda is on-loan at Betis to the end of this season and the Seville club’s president has confirmed talks have opened about extending the deal into next term.

“We have held meetings with Chelsea to see if the continuity of Musonda is possible, and the conclusions are quite positive so far,” stated Angel Haro.

However, Don Balon says nothing will be decided until Antonio Conte has had his say.

The incoming Chelsea manager has requested the signing of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, but if the Spanish giants refuse to do business, he will insist on Musonda returning.

The Belgian youngster has been a revelation for Betis since his January arrival and has declared he’d be happy to stay next season.
