Chelsea captain John Terry was whisked off into a side room by Mauricio Pochettino after Monday night’s frenetic clash with Tottenham.

According to The Sun, Spurs boss Pochettino held behind-the-scenes peace talks with Terry after the Blues skipper tried to control the brawl that broke out after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge.

It is believed that Pochettino thanked Terry for trying to restore order after both sets of players had clashed in and outside the tunnel after it ended 2-2 in West London.

The Tottenham manager and Chelsea centre-half reportedly undertook clear-the-air discussions in a bid to repair the damage done between the London rivals in what was a very dirty night for Spurs who had their title hopes ended by a second-half Chelsea resurgence.
