Chelsea have moved to offer Willian new terms. The Times says they have offered Willian a new contract worth £120,000-a-week.
The Blues are desperate to secure the Brazilian’s future amid concerns failure to qualify for the Champions League next season could spark a mass exodus.
Willian has been Chelsea’s stand-out performer in a dismal campaign and The Times report the west London club have offered him a new four-year deal.
The 27-year-old still has two-and-a-half years to run on the £80,000-a-week contract he signed when he arrived from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 for £30m.
It is claimed Willian is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge despite their struggles this campaign but may hold off signing the extension until it is clear who their next manager will be.
