The Belgian national team have cancelled training in the wake of the suspected terrorist attacks in Brussels.
A host of Premier League stars including Marouane Fellaini, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele are back in their homeland for the international break.
But they woke to devastating news on Tuesday of two deadly blasts which reportedly went off near the American Airlines check-in desk in the departures hall at Zaventem airport.
The airport is now on ‘lock down’ with all immediate flights into the Belgian capital cancelled.
And following the developing the team’s official Twitter account released a short statement.
“We are #alltogether and our thoughts are with the victims. Football is irrelevant today. Training is cancelled,” they wrote.
Earlier both Jan Vertonghen and Simon Mignolet took to social media to express their sorrow at the unfolding news.
