David Beckham has recorded a touching video message to a young girl from his adopted home town.
Manchester United legend David made the tribute to the terminally ill fan whose dream it was to meet the Red Devils.
Our sister paper the Manchester Evening News reports that Chloe Hopkins, 19, suffered with Cystic Fibrosis which has become so severe she has been given two years to live.
She created a bucket list to fulfil her dreams in her final months – one of which was meeting the Manchester United football team.
The footie star speaks to the camera in the short clip and says: “Hi Chloe, it’s David Beckham here. “I heard from my friend Chris that you’re not very well so I just want to send all of my best wishes and all of my love.
“I hope you get out of hospital soon and I hope you feel better soon.
“Lots of love. Bye bye.”
Chloe needs a double lung transplant and has been on a waiting list since July 2015.
She said: “It still scares me to think about how limited my life is, but it is something I have had to come to terms with.
