A woman who lied about being [email protected] after having s*x with her partner’s boss just days before their wedding has avoided jail, Torrington, Devon, England, UK.
Sophie Tucker, 23, and her fiance Chris Hutchings, 28, were almost ready to tie the knot, when the woman apparently changed her mind and invited her fiance’s boss Carl Williamson, 51, to their home for s*x.
The duo were exchanging a string of flirty texts and naked photos before the date and when Williamson arrived she pushed him on to the sofa and performed an oral sex on him.
But when the man was due to leave he bumped into Chris, Tucker’s husband-to-be and father of two children, aged one and two. Taken by surprise she had nothing to do but to pretend she had been raped by his boss.
As a result Williamson was arrested and was put on bail for 24 days until Tucker, eventually confessed she had been lying all this time. In a victim statement Williamson wrote that sexual allegations had seriously affected his business and psychological health.
In court Ms Tucker said: “I am thoroughly sorry about what I did and if I could do something to help him I would. It was a stupid thing to do. He has not done nothing. I wish I could undo it.
“I know I have been selfish. I was trying to protect my family. I love my two children so much and I am worried when they grow up they are going to want to disown me for what I have done.”
Sophie Tucker was given an 18-month jail sentence after admitting to perverting justice. Judge Ian Lawrie QC said she has damaged the legitimate claims of women who have been the victims of rape and sexual assault and branded her ‘stupid, selfish and cowardly’.
