Terrified screams were the last sounds a millionaire businessman heard from his teen daughter before she was murdered by kidnappers.
He heard her in the background as an abductor called him from her mobile to demand a million euros as a ransom, half an hour after snatching her.
The devastated father begged for the 17-year-old’s safe return and pledged to pay whatever the kidnappers wanted.

But her lifeless body was found in an abandoned farmyard near her home in Meissen, eastern Germany. A police spokesman said: “All the prayers and hopes went unanswered and she is dead.”
Named only as Anneli-Marie R, she was kidnapped at 7.30pm last Thursday, while out walking her dog.
Her desperate parents wrote in a letter to the kidnappers: “You should know we will fulfil your demands in order to be able to take our child in our arms again.”
They waited in hope for four days, telling her: “Anneli, we miss you, we are with you.” But, after a police hunt with sniffer dogs and a heat-seeking helicopter, her body was discovered on Monday. Anneli’s parents are now both in the care of police psychologists.
Two men have been arrested, one in Dresden, the other in a town in Bavaria.
Both were seized in armed police raids before dawn yesterday. One was 39 and said to be unemployed, the other a 61-year-old factory worker.
Police believe her kidnappers panicked and killed her because they were not wearing masks when they snatched her.
