Former Presidential adviser on Amnesty Programme, Mr Kingsley Kuku, has revealed he is not evading the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who has invited him over a probe into financial activities of the programme.
Kuku, who is reportedly sick, stated that he left enough money in the coffers of the project to sustain and stabilise the programme for a period of time, adding that he was already in the United States (US) for his medical procedure before the letter was sent to his former office in Abuja.
Kuku, who is said to be receiving treatment at St. Andrew Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama, said, “the letter from the EFCC is just a mere invitation and why would any reasonable leader shy away from making clarification on his stewardship when necessary?”
He then assured Nigerians he would be honoring the invitation as soon as he gets a clean bill of health.
He further commended President Buhari over the appointment of General Paul Boroh (rtd) as his successor.
