The EFCC on Thursday, September 1, opened its doors to journalists, Civil Society Organisations and members of the public to take a look at what their detention facilities looks like in order to demonstrate the Commission’s commitment to transparency and accountability through.
The guided tour was conducted by the Deputy Director of Operations, Lagos Zonal Office, Mr. Iliyasu Kwarbai. Speaking during the tour, Kwarbai welcomed the CSOs and media representatives and assured them that the EFCC is guided by its core values; integrity being chief of them.
“We are a group of professionals. We analyze petitions, gather facts and give people fair hearing. We carry out preliminary investigation before inviting anyone. The accused person is invited last”, he said.
