Rotimi Amaechi, the ex-governor of Rivers state, may finally be screened as President Muhammadu Bihari’s nominee today, October 22.
After a series of postponement owing to a petition supposing corruption, ? Amaechi’s name is number one on the screening list for Thursday.
The Cable reports that other appointees on the Senate order paper for screening are Heineken Lokpobiri, Cladius Omoyele Daramola, Adewole Isaac Folorunso, Baba Shehuri Mustapha and Ocholi Enojo James.
While, the list can be changed, Amaechi has been spotted at the senate in the company of Dakuku Peterside.
Ex-governor had been excluded from screening a number of times mainly owing to “internal politics” and the fiasco of the senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions to give its review? on a probe of him.
