18 of the 21 freed Chibok girls are nursing mothers

Boko Haram released a new video on claiming to show the missing Nigerian schoolgirls, alleging they had converted to Islam and would not be released until all militant prisoners were freed.  A total of 276 girls were abducted on April 14 from the northeastern town of Chibok, in Borno state, which has a sizeable Christian community. Some 223 are still missing. More details have emerged following the release of 21 Chibok girls today. The girls were swapped for Boko Haram prisoners

“The release of the girls…is the outcome of negotiations between the administration and the Boko Haram brokered by the International Red Cross and the Swiss government,” a presidency statement said. “The negotiations will continue.”

According to Sahara Reporters, 18 of the freed 21 Chibok girls have given birth while in captivity .
