Ace Juju musician, Sir Shina Peters (SSP), has said that the innovation to create ‘Afro juju’ was divine, and that the genre of music is highly spiritual.
Recently the 57 year old father of multiple award-winning music video director, Clarence Peters, reiterated that he does not know how he created ‘Afro Juju’, but strongly believed that God just used him as a tool to accomplish the mission.
“Afro juju is not my making because God perfected it and I’m just like a tool in His hand. The genre is more than what you think of it. It is very spiritual. Don’t let me take the credit from God, who only used me to deliver it. It is not my power or making,” he noted.
SSP, who had been criticised for creating a blend of music that can easily accommodate musicians who can’t play any musical instrument, described the criticism as the handiwork of his confused detractors.
He said: “You cannot satisfy the world. I have delivered the message God gave to me to the world by creating Afro Juju music because I have created joy, happiness and job for many people.
“In fact, through my music, I have been able to elevate some of my colleagues. The most important thing is to do something that will save souls which I have done.”
