Actress Vivica A. Fox has apologised to Soulja Boy after she dragged him into her row with ex-boyfriend 50 Cent insisting she’d only been talking about her former flame’s antics when she called him gay.
Last night the star, 51, joked about the sexual preferences of the rapper – real name Curtis Jackson – while appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He then responded by attacking her “really bad boob job,” and claiming she liked to “lick his ass”.
After her initial comments, she pointed out his cover of Vibe Magazine where he appeared alongside Soulja Boy as further evidence of her ‘gay’ claims.
Clarifying on Monday that she hadn’t meant to attack Soulja Boy, Vivica wrote on Twitter: “Let me say this!! Wasn’t speaking about @souljaboy only my EX and his antics! I apologize for that to @souljaboy”
The argument was sparked when Vivica was asked about controversial comments he made about her show Empire.
“What were your thoughts when 50 Cent blamed the [Empire] season ratings dip on ‘gay stuff?'” Andy Cohen said.
“First of all, you know the pot called the kettle black is all I’m saying,” she responded.
When Cohen asked if she meant he was gay, Vivica replied that “he’s not”.
The actress – who joined the cast in season two – then added: “We had a great time. He just seems like he’s got something that’s not quite clear.”
The rapper soon responded with a string of vitriolic messages on Instagram and Twitter.
He wrote: “Oh No!!!, Now she thinks I’m gay because I let her lick my Ass. LMAO. Wait,I didn’t want her to,she forced me, my hands were tied. 50 shades of grey.” (sic)
He later posted a further message mocking the Independence Day star’s acting abilities as well as making claims about plastic surgery.
“b**** remember when you told me f*** Halle Berry and you could have played all the roles she did better then her? And I just looked at you like what the *** kind s*** did you take?LMAO,” he continued alongside an image of Vivica with the phrase ‘Really Bad Boob Job’ written across it.
The couple dated for a few months in 2003, with the In Da Club star famously dumping Fox while appearing on the Howard Stern Show. After their break-up the couple’s relationship soon turned bitter as they hit out at each other in a very public war of words.
In October Jackson was criticised for posting a message on Instagram that blamed an 18 percent drop in ratings for Empire on homosexual storylines.
Sharing a screengrab of a post from Industry on Blast’s Instagram account, it was captioned: “There are 3 million less [sic] viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it? We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!”
A rep for the star later released a statement regarding the comments, saying: “Mr. Jackson reposted something on Instagram that originated from a blog in relation to the decrease in ‘Empire’s ratings. When he realized there was additional content in the blog post that he did not agree with, he immediately deleted the post as that is not a reflection of his views at all.”
Reps for both stars have been contacted by Mirror Celeb for a comment.
