Mariah Carey is “doing well” after reportedly being hospitalised in New York.
The 45-year-old was said to be suffering from a severe bout of flu and had to be hooked up to an IV, according to TMZ.
Mariah was reportedly so dehydrated and ill that her team called for the emergency services after initially complaining about feeling unwell on Tuesday night.
Fortunately, the singer is now on the mend and will be performing as scheduled this weekend.
A rep for the star told PEOPLE that Mariah “had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities.
“She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes.”
The singer performed at the Pier1 event in SoHo on Tuesday night despite falling ill earlier that day.
Her rep added: “She had fallen ill earlier in the day, but participated in the event last night as much as she could.”
The star, who is reportedly gearing up to spend the holidays with new boyfriend James Packer, looked sensational in an eye-catching red dress, which she teamed with black tights and sky high heels.
