According to reports from sources close to Majek Fashek, the Nigerian Reggae icon is now in rehab after years of drug abuse.
The singer popularly known for his hit song “Send Down The Rain” is now in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed rehabilitation centre, and according to caregivers of the establishment who wished to remain anonymous, Majek is responding to treatment.
Speaking with Premium Times over a telephone call, Majek admitted that his family is not around to take care of him.
He said about his family: “They are in America. My family is in America, my wife is in America, my children are in America”. When asked about how he is faring, Majek Fashek responded saying simply: “Thank God, I am responding (to treatment)”.
