Until Igbos are united in one voice and aspiration, the highest political office in the country would continue to elude them, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said. Owelle Okorocha who described Ndigbo as a gifted tribe to a troubled nation at the 2012 Ahiajoku lecture held at Ahiajoku convention Centre Owerri, said, Ndigbo are naturally endowed to surmount the factors militating against their dreams and aspiration with their God-given potentials. Okorocha who posited that Ndigbo are not united, however urged them put up a collective efforts needed for their advancement. He added that the essence of Ahiajoku lecture which started many years ago is aimed at reflecting on matters that concern the nation, Igbos in relationship with their tradition, culture, norms and values. Rochas Okorocha offers employment to all qualified physically challenged citizens The governor of Imo state, Mr Rochas Okorocha has offered employment to all qualified physically challenged citizens in the state. The newly employed will be joining the government’s pay roll in the state’s ministries, agencies and local government offices During a meeting with physically challenged citizens at the Ikemba Ojukwu memorial centre in Owerri the governor noted that his administration is willing to partner with the physically challenged people in the state to move his rescue mission agenda for the state to a different level. He also noted that the state government will immediately embark on the establishment of special skills acquisition centres for the uneducated ones so they can be trained in
