Arturo Vidal is reportedly open to the idea of a new challenge.
Spanish publication Don Balon is reporting that the midfielder is prepared to leave Bayern Munich to join Chelsea at the end of the season.
It is understood that Antonio Conte, who worked with Vidal at Juventus, has opened talks with the Chile international regarding a £42million deal.
Chelsea are making progress in their pursuit of Vidal, 29, by approaching the representatives of the newly-crowned Chilean Footballer of the Year who is keen on trying his luck in England after achieving success in his homeland, as well as Germany and Italy.
With Bayern willing to look to the future by offering central midfield roles to young guns Joshua Kimmich and Renato Sanches, Vidal could be sold at the end of the current campaign.
But Vidal will only move to Stamford Bridge if the Premier League-leading Blues qualify for the Champions League, which at this stage, looks a certainty.
