Barcelona defender Gerard Pique went into fresh meltdown mode after their fortunate 1-1 draw at Villarreal.

A late Lionel Messi free-kick rescued the point for Barca, but not before a series of decisions from ref Iglesias Villanueva had infuriated the players.

Barca chief Jordi Mestre also made comment at the final whistle, but Pique went a step further.

RAC-1 reports Pique, after the game, spotted LaLiga president Javier Tebas in an executive box and gestured to him aggressively, pointing to his eye and declaring: “Have you seen him? Yes, you, you?!”

Pique then pointed directly at Tebas, despite the LaLiga having no control of the match officials in Spain.

Villarreal president Fernando Roig later stated: “The words of Pique for Thebes? The Liga does not control the referees. What you need to do is respect the work of the members.”
