MFM FC Thank Ambode For N50m Cash Gift

MFM and Plateau United will represent Nigeria in 2018 CAF Champions League.

Nigeria Professional Football League club, MFM FC, has expressed appreciation to Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode for a cash gift of 50 million naira.

Ambode splashed the cash on the club for booking a ticket to the CAF Champions League after finishing second behind champions Plateau United.

The governor thanked the players for making the state proud.

“We commend the management and officials for their brilliant performance last season and also qualifying for the 2018 CAF Champions League,” reads a statement on the governor’s official Twitter handle.

In its response, MFM thanked Ambode.

“His excellency Governor, @AkinwunmiAmbode dole out millions of naira on MFM FC for booking #CAFCL ticket last season. We are grateful sir.” The club wrote on its official twitter handle.
