Manchester City are joining the battle for Real Madrid’s wantaway superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Don Balon says City boss Pep Guardiola is making moves to rival Manchester United.

Former Barcelona boss Guardiola has “requested his signing”, and with the untold riches possessed by City’s owner Sheikh Mansour, they could comfortably meet his wage demands and the transfer fee.

Manchester City will also offer the “promise of legal protection that he has lacked” in Madrid following tax evasion claims.

It’s been claimed in Spain and Portugal that Ronaldo has decided his time in Madrid has come to an end and he has communicated this “irreversible” decision as final to Real president Florentino Perez.
