Akwa United goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke has dedicated his Most Valuable Player award to his wife and new-born son.
Olorunleke won the MVP award of the tournament and was also voted the Best Goalkeeper.
Akwa United beat Niger Tornadoes 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
“My wife has been a source of my inspiration, so I dedicate the Best Goalkeeper Award to her and the Most Valuable Player Award to my son, both of them are the reasons behind my exploits of late,” Ojo told SCORENigeria.
“God has crowned my efforts with a trophy after losing out on league.
The former Sunshine Stars safe hands said it was tough leaving the Akure Gunners in mid-season.
“It was a tough decision to leave Sunshine Stars in mid-season, but at the end of the season I have reason for taking that decision with my manager.”
Akwa United now joins Enyimba to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation Cup in 2018.
