Following the directive from the National headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to redeploy any any corps member seeking transfer, 900 corps members have so far been redeployed  from Kano and Niger states. The coordinator of the scheme in Kano State, Alhaji Bashir Yakasai, revealed that 800 corps members were redeployed out of the 2, 129 posted to the state while Mrs Justina Andriya, Niger State Coordinator of the scheme confirmed that 100 married female corps members sought redeployment from the state to their husbands’ states of residence. P.M.NEWS also gathered that over 90 percent of the redeployed corps members in Kano were from the southern part of the country. They cited security challenges as reasons for their request. Some officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC in Calabar over the weekend mounted a manhunt for a lady who allegedly had marathon sex with their colleague, Ofem Eta, during which he died. According to a source at 2, Orok Ita Street, Big Qua, where Ofem was living before he met his unfortunate death, the man came back from duty on Friday evening and without eating any food went into marathon sex with the girl and passed away during the act. “He came back from work and told me he was hungry and I prepared food for him but when I got there, his door was shut and when I knocked he told me to take the food back and bring it later. When I took the food to him later, his door was open and when I knocked he did not answer. When I went in I saw him lying naked on his bed,”

The Sudden death of the young man has threw his families, friend and course mate into mourning state. The young man is described according to one of his class mate Miss. Titilayo as a fine gentle man, small but very intelligent and vibrant. She further states that he will be greatly missed by all. The new papa (he just had a son) is wanted by the Nigerian police for a hit and run that occurred in Ikeja penultimate Friday. According to police reports, Terry G hit the victim, Moshood Azeez, with his car while leaving Club Royale located on Oba Akran Rd Ikeja. Moshood, whose leg was crushed in the accident, was rushed to General Hospital Ikeja where he is still receiving treatment. Terry G was said to have fled the scene of the accident now making it a police case. Police at Wemabod Estate, Ikeja invited the Akpako master for questioning but he didn’t respond to the invitation.
