A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder and rape of a 72-year-old church-going pensioner who was found dead in her quiet village home.
Jane Hings’s body was found by a carer at her bungalow on a cul-de-sac in Fleckney, Leicestershire, on Sunday morning,the UK Sun reports.
Neighbours and friends describing Jane as a “kind and thoughtful person” who lived alone and didn’t have any family.
It is understood she died between Saturday night and Sunday morning following a “disturbance” at the property.
Craig Keogh is accused of murder, two counts of rape and one of burglary after being charged on Friday evening following the death of Jane Hings.
