…movie gave us more visibility’- Trio
For the sensational trio of O.C Ukeje, Chelsea Eze and Gabriel Afolayan, perhaps, it is time to give their blessings a face as they all open up on how life has been for them after starring in one of the most talked about movies this year, Hoodrush.
Despite the fact that Hoodrush won’t be at the cinemas till Friday, October 12, 2012, the movie has generated commendable reviews,a feature that have made the movie a talking point among youths. The movie features other acts like the talented Bimbo Akintola, Bolanle Ninolowo of Diesel Music, Ijeoma Agu, Lee Lee Byoma and others. Hoodrush was shot in Lagos and was written, produced and directed by Dimeji Ajibola of Flipsyde Studios.
Hoodrush tells a story of two brothers Shez Jabari (O.C Ukeje) and Tavier Jabari (Gabriel Afolayan) closely bonded by their love for music but deeply separated by their means for success. Chelsea Eze played the role of Shakirat in the movie, Hoodrush who later fell in love with Shev (O.C Ukeje).
Speaking on how life has been after starring in Hoodrush despite the fact that it is yet to be released, O.C Ukeje said ‘’for me it was a great experience starring in the movie and even a greater experience thereafter because of the projects I have been called upon to feature in. Hoodrush further put me on the map and I am sure it did that and more for other cast members’’.
Gabriel Afolayan shared his thoughts on life after the movie ‘’Hoodrush is a movie I would remember for a long time because it brought out some parts of me that I never thought of. After featuring in the movie, I got good offers judging by the positive reviews the trailers have been enjoying especially on social media platforms though its due to hit cinema in October ’’.
‘Shakirat’ a role played by fast rising act, Chelsea Eze said ‘’Mr Dimeji should get some props for anything positive that happens to us after the movie because he knew his onions while on set, the movie has indeed opened doors in many ways, I also thank other cast members for the roles they played’’.
The movie will premiere at Silverbird Galleria on Friday October 12, 2012.
