The 45 year old comedienne and Oscar winning actress has lost so much weight over the last few years, going from almost 300kg to 215kg. Monique says she didn’t have surgery just good ol’ exercise. Below is what she said on a radio programme recently.
“I tweet every morning, my workouts, because I want women to see – especially us big women – that you don’t have to let them cut you and suck it out, you don’t have to let them staple you up, you don’t have to let them give you a pill, you don’t have to let them put a band around your organs. If you put the work in, baby, I promise you, it comes off.”

Emeka Ossai Honours Wife With N5.5 M Worth Of Car For Giving Him Twins
‘Clinic Matters’ actor, Emeka Ossai has given his beautiful wife, Jumai a new ‘toy’ valued at about N5.5million. The actor, reportedly fulfilling his promise of giving Jumai a special gift if she gives him a child, ‘slapped’ his wife with a 2013 model of Honda Cross Tour.
Nigeriafilms.com reliably learnt that Emeka got the delivery of the car last and presented the ‘mobile home’ to his excited wife, Jumai.
The actor had waited for five years for a child but got a double dose in September 2012 when Jumai doubled Emeka’s joy with a set of twins.
The twins were christened Jude and Judith by the parents.

Nollywood Omotola Joins The League Of Hollywood Actors For A Fundraiser In LA
Nollywood actress Omotola joined other Hollywood celebrities at the Annual Entertainmen Industry Foundation (EIF)/Revlon Run/Walk for Women at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park in Los Angeles on Saturday May 11th.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women is one of America’s largest fundraising events. Money raised is used for cancer research, treatment, counseling and outreach programs.

Nigerian singer Sidney Onoriode Esiri popularly called Dr Sid has completed the construction of his new mansion in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria.
This came weeks after the death of his father Justus Esiri, a veteran Nollywood actor who passed away after a short-battle with diabetes.
Dr Sid took to his Twitter page few hours ago to share the photos of his brand new house.

2face, Ice Prince Nominated For BET Awards 2013 [SEE FULL LIST]
Nigerian artistes – Pop singer 2face Idibia and rapper Ice Prince Zamani have both been nominated for this years BET Awards taking place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on June 30.
2face and Ice Prince are nominated in the ‘Best International Act: Africa’ category along with four other African artistes - Toya Delazy (South Africa), Donald (South Africa), R2Bees (Ghana) and Radio and Weasel (Uganda).
2face and Ice Prince aren’t new to the awards show; in 2011, 2face Idibia won along side D’banj and in 2012, Ice Prince was nominated alongside Wizkid (Wizkid won the award with Sarkodie).

Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo and hubby, Kenny Rodriguez had one of the most elaborate Celebrity weddings last year when the lovely couple got hitched in scenic Puerto Rico. It’s been a year since then, and the loving couple decided to take a week off to celebrate their one year anniversary.
Taking a road trip for the special occasion, they have just made their way to Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA which is commonly referred to as the Las Vegas of America’s East Coast.

Angelina Jolie Undergoes Double Masectomy To Prevent Cancer
Angelina Jolie says she underwent a preventive double mastectomy earlier this year after learning she carries a gene that increases her risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
In a New York Times op-ed published late Monday, the 37-year-old Academy Award winner writes that after genetic testing she learned she carries the “faulty” BRCA1 gene.
The risk of developing cancer due to the gene varies, but Jolie says doctors estimated she had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer.
Jolie, whose mother died from cancer, says she decided to have the preventive mastectomy to be “proactive” for the sake of her six children with her partner, Brad Pitt.

Would you settle in Nigeria?
This will always be home for me. At least, it’s comforting to know one is with family, and I am glad to be home. I missed home, mum and dad. Things may not be what they should be, but home is it. There were too many things I took for granted before I left, but now, I know better.
