At these times the carbs are taken up by your muscles and used. However when you try to eat carbs at low energy times such as right before bed these energy foods get stored as fat.

Interval training. This is a method of exercise that has you constantly move back and forth between high and low pace/effort during your cardio exercise session. This stimulates your metabolism.
Circuit training. This is a combination of aerobic exercise and weight lifting performed in the same workout session. This burns calories and also preserves and builds muscle which you need to long term weight loss success.
