Van Vicker and Omotola Jalade Stars in new movie “AMINA”
AMINA is a deeply emotional story of loss, love and redemption about a fragile young woman, (Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde) who’s life turns into disarray after an unplanned pregnancy leaves her totally devastated and bewildered.
Unsure and vulnerable, she fights single-handedly to raise an unwanted child, but stumbles and falls at every turn into deeper emotional turmoil that eventually leads her lonely, lost and ‘without her mind’ in the care of a secure pyschiactric institution.
Trapped in a system that is struggling to cope, even her loving boyfriend (Van Vicker) and childhood best friend (Alison Caroll) seem powerless to help her.What are the dark forces that surround Amina, is she a victim of circumstances or one of life’s unfortunate people? Is she actually crazy at all?
Only one man, her psychiatrist (Wil Johnson), cares enough to find out, but he must first convince his boss (Vincent Regan) that his unorthodox approach will work. The only problem is he must overcome his own demons before he can help Amina confront her tormented past and guide her to finally face her future with hope.
